Sleepover with Sophia

Originally, Sophia and I were planning to go to Ocean Park yesterday (even though I've already gone twice very recently), but we couldn't go.

So instead we had a barbecue at the Country Park. I took Samantha with me, and at the Country Park today, there were loads of people who were having barbecues too, so Samantha was going crazy trying to look for food; it was really hard to control her. I can't imagine how Samantha can still be so hungry even when she's just eaten almost half a bag of dog food (it's a really big bag!). While we were eating, Samantha kept jumping up onto the table, trying to get our food, so we had to tie her to a tree. She was whining the whole time we ate, but I couldn't untie her from the tree otherwise she would eat our food!!

After the barbecue, Sophia and I went back home and we played basketball together. When we became really thirsty after a while of playing, we went back to my house.

We watched some really funny videos on YouTube, and Sophia invited me to stay at her house for a sleepover. So we started planning what we would do.

When it was time for my ballet class to start, Sophia came to watch. We didn't get to learn any new dances or didn't get to play any games even though it's soon Halloween; we had to just do our normal, boring exercises.

When ballet was over, we went over to Sophia's house for a quick dinner, because I had to go home soon for Sophia to have her piano lesson.

While Sophia had her piano lesson, I had to practice piano, too. After I was all packed and ready and everything, Sophia called and I went over to her house.

We watched the movie 'Ice Princess'. It was really fun to watch.

Now it is gonna be Allison's barbecue birthday party, and after that it will be Katy's birthday party, and then... HALLOWEEN!!!!

Happy Halloween :D

Thursday, October 29, 2009

This afternoon, mommy and I went out to buy birthday presents for Katy and Allison. I can't say what I bought because I know you might be reading this Katy.... :)

After buying the gifts, we went over to the IFC Mall. We went to the bookstore, 'Dymocks'. They renovated it and now it's waaaaay bigger! I spent a lot of time looking at all the children's books! Turns out,  there were too many books to choose from, so I didn't buy anything. But mommy wants me to practice my math more, so she bought me a really thick math notebook to do everyday >:(

After looking around in Dymocks, we went to City Super to buy stuff for dinner, and then I had to go back home for tap class.

Since it is soon Halloween, Ms. Claire brought lots of candy for us to eat. We had to do normal, boring exercises for most of the time during the lesson, but we played a really short game at the end... it was still fun!!

Halloween Costume

Since Halloween is nearly here, mommy and I went to a little market called Ladder Street. There were loads of costumes there, and this year Frances and I are both going to dress up as mad scientists! >:)

So in Ladder Street, I bought these things:

~A grey, wavy, Albert Einstein wig
~A white lab coat
~Harry Potter glasses

I can't wait 'till Halloween!!!

Before going to Ladder Street, mommy and I went to get foot massages. It hurt a little but it felt really nice :)
I also got a couple of t-shirts from a shop called 'Giordano'. They are 'Cheer You Up' t-shirts, a really popular type of t-shirt right now. It is just a normal t-shirt with a yellow smiley face on it with x's as the eyes. They're really cute XD

When I got back home, it was time for a tennis group lesson.

Mommy wants me to play more tennis with more people, so now she's gonna call the boys in my class who play tennis to come over tomorrow to play tennis with me!! Ohhhhh, I really hope she'll forget about calling them!!!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

I haven't had a piano lesson with Ms. Kwok since the beginning of summer, so mommy organized a lesson for me today.

Every year, there is something called the Piano Music Festival, and each time I compete in the festival. The music festival is going to come soon, so Ms. Kwok prepared a really cool song called Jagdlied composed by MacDowell. I love the tune and this year I'm actually not nervous at all... probably because I've done it for 4 years now.

After my piano lesson, mommy took me to a mall called Cityplaza. We don't go there very often because it is so far away from where we live, but Cityplaza is very close to where Ms. Kwok lives, so I got to go there today!!

In Cityplaza, I went to the shop 'Marks & Spencer'. I just got on long sleeved shirt for the winter -- I really need it!!

After Marks & Spencer, I went to a really, really big stationary shop called 'Apita' aka 'Uny'. There was so much to buy there, but I only bought a few things:

~Green mechanical pencil with a grip that is a little bit squishy
~An orange mechanical pencil
~7 erasers that are the colors of the rainbow with really cute hamster pictures on the them (they smell nice a little bit, too!)

After shopping around in Apita, mommy and I went to eat at a Japanese restaurant with lots of yummy sushi and sashimi. There were lots of people there, so we had to wait in line for quite a while until there were seats for us.

3 busy days

Ahhhhh! I'm so sorry I didn't write in here for the past three days!!!! I was really busy; Saturday night I had a sleep over with Rachel, Sunday night I had another sleep over with Frances and Katy, and last night I went out for dinner and came home at 1:00 A.M., so I was too tired to write. But I'll write about Saturday, Sunday and Monday right now.

Saturday

On Friday night, I wanted to invite Rachel over for dinner, but it was really last minute, so mommy hadn't prepared anything for dinner. Instead, she said Rachel could come over on Saturday night for dinner and a sleep over.
Before the sleep over with Rachel, I had a violin lesson. I only managed to memorize 2 pages of the concerto, so now I have to memorize 3 more pages.
After violin class, mommy took me to eat noodles again at the same restaurant as last week. Since this noodle restaurant is really close to the shop 'H&M', mommy said I could go there to buy some clothes for the wintertime. At H&M, I bought:
~A pink sweatshirt with black zebra stripes on it
~A pair of skinny jeans that are very stretchy so they are comfortable
I didn't buy much, so I'll need to go back again because almost all my winter clothes are too small for me and winter is coming soon!!

Sunday

It was the first time in a while for me to play with Frances and Katy, since we are all really busy with homework. But after lunch today, they were free to play!
Although it wasn't very sunny outside (it was cold and windy in fact), Katy wanted to go swimming, so we all went down to the pool to swim. As I guessed, the water was SO COLD! But we swam for a long time and soon I was used to the temperature.
After swimming, I had to go back home to take a shower and take Samantha out for a short walk. When I told Frances and Katy about having to walk Samantha, they said they wanted to come with me, so after our showers, we went to the park to walk Samantha.
When we came back from the walk, Frances and Katy had some very good news for me... we could have a sleep over!!! So I immediately started packing and went over to their house.
We made smoothies out of juice, yoghurt, marshmallows, raisin and bananas. When we mixed them all together in the blender, Frances and Katy really didn't like it, but I liked it a lot, so I drank it all up :D

Monday

This morning, Frances, Katy and I wanted to walk to Stanley with Samantha. Mommy said it was OK. But when we got to my house, mommy said Samantha can't come with us, because she was sick. A couple nights ago, we ordered new dog food, and the bag was open so Samantha ate almost all of it... and it is a pretty big bag!! So now she is vomiting and pooping uncontrollably so we couldn't take her on our walk.
When we got to Stanley market, it was really busy since it was a public holiday, so we had to wait in a very long line to have lunch. We ate at a restaurant called 'Wildfire' since the line was the shortest.
After eating some pizza and pasta, we had to go back home because mommy booked a tennis court for me to play with a boy called Jonathan.
When we got back home, there was still a few hours left until tennis, so Frances, Katy and I went to the pool to swim. We played hide-and=seek tag. It was really fun but I had to go home to get ready for tennis.
Jonathan is really, really, really good at tennis, so there weren't a lot of rallies between us at tennis because his shots were so hard for me to return. But after a while of playing I started improving a bit.
After tennis, Jonathan's mom invited mommy and I over to their house for dinner. Jonathan just got a hamster, so before dinner I played a lot with the hamster called Happy. After dinner, we watched a movie called 'Monster House'. It was pretty good.
When the movie was over, it was really late so Jonathan had to go to bed since he has school tomorrow. But it is now my mid-term break, so I could stay up later.
But time and time passed, and mommy was still talking with Jonathan's mom. I was so tired that I fell asleep sitting upright! When midnight came, finally I could go back home and sleep in my comfortable, warm bed :)

Half Day

Yay! It was a half day at school today because it is now the beginning of mid-term break!!

When I finished lunch after I got back from school, I called Niki and Rachel and together we went down to the basketball courts to play basketball. On the way there, we met 2 other boys called Matt and Julian who are really good at basketball. We all played a game together. While we were playing, another boy who is in my class called Rohan came to play together with us as well. And then, another boy who I've never met before started playing with us, too! So all 7 of us played a really fun game... those boys were REALLY good!!!

When Rachel, Niki and I got back from basketball, it was time for Rachel and me to go to ballet class. So Niki went home while Rachel and me went.

After ballet, Rachel and I planned to have a sleep over tomorrow night... we asked our parents and they all said yes!! So after lunch tomorrow, Rachel will come over to play and then we will have a sleep over together :) Can't wait!

Thursday, October 22, 2009

At school today, we mostly just did stuff about camp... we wrote stories about memories at camp and we worked on newsletters all about camp.

Since we haven't had clarinet class in a long time because of camp, there was a make-up clarinet class after school today. Mommy also thought that there would be a violin make-up class, but turns out there wasn't any, so I brought my heavy violin to school for nothing....

When I finished practicing a bit of violin when I got back home from clarinet, I called Sydney to see if she was free to play basketball. Although she was only free for 20 minutes, we played anyways. We went down to the basketball courts and Sydney helped me improve my basketball because I am probably going to join after school basketball next semester.

After a little of basketball with Sydney, I had to go to tap class. Ms. Claire brought canes for us to work with in our dance. Towards the end of class, Frances and I accidentally broke one of the canes and it snapped in half... now I'm trying to find out how to fix it :O

Camp, camp, CAMP!!!

I just got back from... CAMP! Camp was sooo much fun, and I'm really sad to have to leave :(
I left my schedule for what I did at camp back at school, but tomorrow I will bring it back home so I can copy it down and type it here!

The only things that weren't so nice were the showers. The water was either freezing cold or boiling hot. Never warm. And there would barely be any water coming out! Maybe about one or two drops every minute. There are signs all around the campsite saying 'Use less water, save the planet', but I didn't think that they would take it that seriously... also, the beds were as hard as my desk, so I could never sleep through the night comfortably. So at least now that I am back I can shower in clean showers and sleep in a nice bed.

At camp, we did really fun things like going on sampans, canoes, water bikes, and archery, rock climbing, rope courses, swimming, tennis, pool, squash, table tennis, soccer, basketball, and hiking... there are loads of other activities that we did but I forgot them... I will list all the things I did at camp when I get my schedule back.

When I got home from camp, I was really tired, so I had a nap for a few hours. I woke up right before tennis, and although I was still really tired I still had to go.

When I got back I practiced violin... I have to memorize a 5-page concerto by Saturday!! I've only memorize half a page... 4 1/2 more pages to go!!

Charity Bazaar

It was the Charity Bazaar today!! I woke up really early this morning to start getting ready. Later, Rachel came over and mommy helped us do our hair. When she was done, we went over to Rachel's house where her mom helped put on make-up for us. We were supposed to be at the dance studio to rehearse our dances by 10:00, but when I left home, I had forgotten my dance shoes. When I went back up to get them, as I was about to go into the studio, I realized I had forgotten my hat for part of my disco costume!! Although Ms. Claire told us to be there at 10:00 sharp, I ended up being about 10 minutes late. I kept worrying that I would miss the rehearsal for my dance, but turns out that I was pretty early... we hadn't started dancing until around 10:20!

Finally, the time to perform came. It was so hot inside my costume because since I have to change into three costumes, I was wearing many, many layers of my costumes to help make it easier for me to change faster. So after the first few seconds of my first dance, I was immediately exhausted. I was very happy when I got to change back into normal, comfortable clothes, with just one layer.

After performing, Rachel and I got hamburgers. The hamburgers at the Charity Bazaar are soooo good!! I love them :)
And of course, after eating my delicious hamburger, I had to have something sweet. So I got cotton candy... and the cotton candy is even better than the hamburgers!! They make it humongous and very, very sugary. I loved it as well...

When we finished eating, we walked around, looking at the stalls. Rachel bought a few things, but nothing there interested me, so I didn't buy anything. Well, I did buy a really small popsicle keychain...

Rachel and I soon got very bored of the Charity Bazaar, so Rachel came over to my house and we watched the movie 'Mean Girls'. We didn't get to finish the movie because Rachel soon had to go back home :(

When Rachel left, mommy took me to Pacific Place to watch the new movie, 'Garfield'. It was really good and funny. I enjoyed watching it in 3D, though the movie was only about 1 hour.

After the short movie, I had to go get some t-shirts in Wanchai for camp tomorrow (YAY!) because all my clothes that I currently have are too precious to wear to camp and get dirty :D
I bought 4 really cheap shirts... they're actually really cool.

When we finished getting the shirts, we went to eat at a Thai restaurant called 'The Chili Club'. I wasn't very hungry, so I didn't eat much... but now I'm starting to get more hungry............

YYAAAYYYYY!!!!!! CAMP IS TOMORROW!! I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight because I definitely can't stand or sit still for just one second at the moment... I'm sooooo excited!! Can't wait to write all about it later! But unfortunately there won't be any computers at camp, so I won't be able to write any posts on Monday or Tuesday, but I will be back on Wednesday to write aaaalllll about fun, exciting, wonderful camp *^_^*!

Saturday, October 17, 2009

It just had to be blazing hot outside on the day of my tennis lesson when it could have been nice, cool and slightly breezy. But surprisingly, although the sun was really, really hot for me (and I was playing on the non-shaded side of the court), I didn't even complain a bit about being hot and uncomfortable; and I didn't even feel extremely exhausted.... well, that's good isn't it?

After my not-so-tiring tennis lesson, I hurried to take a shower and rushed to my violin lesson in Midlevels. Before violin, mommy and I ate lunch at a noodle shop, where we stayed at for too long because we ended up being quite late for my lesson. My violin lesson seemed to pass by real quickly, so before I knew it, I was walking out my violin tutor's studio.

Mommy and I walked all the way to Wanchai because I needed to get new shoes and we knew a shoe store in Wanchai. But when we got to the store, there wasn't a very big selection of shoes, and all shoes were very expensive, so unfortunately I didn't get any new shoes today :(
But I did get a few new t-shirts at some clothing store that sells cheap clothes!

After looking around in Wanchai, mommy took me to a mall called Sogo. We looked around in Sogo and I really wanted to get some things in the Roxy store, but everything was at the least HK$200... even for a plain t-shirt!! So I didn't buy anything.

When I got back home, I called Niki to see if she was free to play. I went over to her house and we practiced our dance for the Charity Bazaar with Annabelle. When Annabelle had to go back home, I stayed and watched half of the movie called 'Picture This' starring Ashley Tisdale with Niki. Then I had to go home to have dinner.

Yayyyyy!!! Tomorrow is the Charity Bazaar! I'm really excited but I'm not exactly looking forward to the changing costumes part because there won't be any bathroom stalls for me to change in!! And I have three dances to do, which means three completely different costumes to wear. So every year, mommy holds up a big towel while I change... it's quite embarrassing... you do not know how many people are watching! But I'm still really excited for the Charity Bazaar :D

Jockey Club

For lunch yesterday afternoon, mommy and I were invited to eat lunch with mommy's friends at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (a club just like the AMC). Mommy's friends had sons, both called Nicholas. After having a wonderful, filling buffet, Nicholas, Nicholas and I went to play in the playground. At first it was really boring because we all didn't talk to each other and we all didn't have anything to do. But then one of them suggested playing tag together. It was really fun. When we were all tired, we went back in to get some ice-cream. But unfortunately, there was no ice-cream left!! So instead, we had humongous crepes with lots of syrup and sprinkles. Of course, I couldn't finish even half of it, but  it was still really good.
After finishing our pancakes, we went to a game room with the Wii. We played the game 'Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games'. But we barely got to play because we soon had to go back home.

When I got back home, Sophia called once again, and we played just like yesterday. She had only stayed at my house for about 15 minutes when I had to go to ballet class, so Sophia came with me to watch.

At ballet, we practiced our dance for the Charity Bazaar. I really can't wait!!

Ocean Park (again)

Since there wasn't any school today, this morning, Sydney and I left to go to Ocean Park! Grayce was planning to come with us, but turns out that she was busy, so she couldn't come :(

Sydney and I basically did that same rides at Ocean Park as I did with Sophia the last time I went. We went on the Mine Train, the Dragon (roller coaster), the Space Wheel, Bungee Trampoline and the Crazy Galleon. It was really fun with Sydney. We wanted to ride the most scary ride in Ocean Park called the Abyss, but it happened to be closed just today!! So we couldn't ride it :( I hope the next time I go it will be open again! It looks really fun :)

We had to come home kinda early because Sydney had Korean tutor. When I got home, Sophia called me, asking if I could play with her. She came over to my house, and I showed her some games and websites I found on the computer. Then she had to go home because she had chinese tutor.

When Sophia left, mommy wanted me to go swimming before it got too cold, since the winter is soon here. It really was cold in the outdoor pool, so I went indoors to swim. After swimming 40 laps or so, I took a shower in the clubhouse and played a little while on the computers in the clubhouse.

Sophia and I had planned to play basketball after my tap lesson, so I was really looking forward to that. But unfortunately, she was busy with something else, so I stayed home and practiced piano instead.

Now I have to go practice violin... tomorrow Sydney might be free to play!! I hope so :)

I CAN'T WAIT FOR CAMP :D

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

I'm really soooo excited for camp!! I even started packing already! I only need to pack just a few more things...

When I got home from after-school violin class, I had no homework at all!! So I just played on the computer, listening to music... then I had to practice my piano for my piano lesson next, next Tuesday. I thought I was going to have a tennis group lesson tonight, but unfortunately, because of all the rain that made the courts wet and slippery, tennis was cancelled :(

So I just spent the night practicing my instruments and playing more on the computer. Tomorrow Sydney and I will be going to Ocean Park since there is no school on Thursday and Friday because there will be conferences on those days. Yay, so 2 extra days of vacation!!

Camp Preparations

At school, of course we continued preparing for CAMP!!! All the cabins got together and we created posters. It was really fun making the posters, and I wonder what we'll do for camp tomorrow... I'm just sooo excited!!

When I got home from school and finished all my homework, mommy and I played tennis together. She won a set, and then my asthma was coming back, so we stopped and went back home. I really want to be able to win a set from mommy sometime!

Camp Cabins

At school today, we found out who will be in our cabins for camp that is next week!! I was really excited to know who would be in my cabins; When we did camp cards (writing down the names of people you want in your cabins) Grayce, Sydney, Alex and I all put down each other's names, so we were all thinking that we would all be put in the same cabin... but we were wrong :(((( Grayce and Sydney were in a separate cabin from me, but luckily I am still in the same cabin with Alex!! The other people in my cabin isn't in my class, so I don't know those girls that well, but they are all really nice. It's really too bad that I'm not in the same cabin as Sydney, because Sydney is always so jumpy and hyper and fun to be around. But this is an opportunity to get to know other people so I'm still gonna try to have fun at camp... I CAN'T WAIT :D

After school, Alex, Sydney and I stayed in our classroom to do our homework while waiting for clarinet class.

When I got back home from clarinet, I went to disco. Yes, I am still I bit sick (coughing and asthma), so I got real tired really easily at disco. I do hope that I'll be better by the Charity Bazaar!!

Paint-ball Party

The whole afternoon today was a paint-ball birthday party for a boy called Patrick. Grayce went there as well! This was the first time for me to do paint-ball, so before it started, I was really excited but also really scared. I kept wondering about whether or not the paint-ball would hurt if it went on me. We had these big, baggy, long-sleeved shirts and big, baggy, long sweat pants. I got really hot inside them because they were so thick! And the paint-ball battlefield was indoors, and there was no air conditioning inside there.

When I went inside to the battlefield, there was big, hard stands to hid behind. When we started the game, everyone was all quiet. It felt really eerie. Nobody wanted to get out of their hiding spots, just incase they might get shot. So nobody ever moved. I soon got really bored so I just charged out from behind a cardboard Christmas tree and started yelling and shooting. Of course, I got shot so I was out. The paint-ball hit me on the shoulder, and it hurt for a few seconds, but then the pain disappeared. So getting hit by a paint-ball isn't too bad...
When it was the 8th game, the last game, my team had to capture a flag that the other team was guarding. Grayce and I kept creeping up towards the flag when almost everybody go shot and was out of the game. If we had just moved one more meter, we would have gotten the flag. That's how close we were. We started running towards the flag, thinking that everyone else was out. But we didn't know that there was still two more people hiding ride next to the flag. So I ended up getting shot on the nose (quite painful) and on the knee (it left a big, red mark). But it was still really fun! I hope I can do paint-ball again :)

This morning when I woke up, I was feeling horrible. I was coughing and I had shortness' of breath. I had an asthma attack. But luckily I felt much better before the party, and right now I'm all normal again!!

Saturday, October 10, 2009

I just came back from playing with Rachel at her house. We just finished eating dinner together. Earlier, we watched the movie 'Wild Child' starring Emma Roberts. Rachel doesn't have the DVD, so we just searched the movie on the internet and watched it there... it was kinda blurry bit it was still really fun to watch!!

Before going to Rachel's house for dinner, I had a tennis lesson in the morning. It was still really hot today, but it's getting cooler, which is good for tennis. But after tennis, I still had that big amount of sweat forming on the back of my neck... my tennis lesson was then followed by another violin lesson.

When I came back from violin, I played with Niki. We walked around in the garden, then played with my basketball. We wanted to go to the basketball courts to shoot hoops, but other people were playing in the basketball courts and we didn't wanted to play with them because we aren't exactly very good at basketball, so we didn't really want to embarrass ourselves in front of other...
When we went back to Niki's house, Annabelle called. The three of us played together at Annabelle's house. We played a game called 'Sims 2' where we create characters and play around with them. It was fun playing with Niki and Annabelle, but I had to leave to go to Rachel's house.

My horrible sore throat has gone, but unfortunately, instead of my sore throat, I am now coughing all the time, and my nose is all stuffy. It feel like there is a big ball of dust at the bottom of my throat -- it doesn't hurt, I'm just constantly coughing, trying to get that 'dust' out. And I keep sneezing too........
Well hopefully I'll be much better by tomorrow because tomorrow I'm going to a paint-ball party!!

Friday, October 9, 2009

Ughhh... My throat hurts... and I have a blocked nose :( I hope I'm not catching a cold here!!

After school, I had clarinet and violin class. My old violin teacher from 3rd grade came to teach us today... she's really nice!!

After violin, I went to ballet class. We worked on our dance to the song 'Whatever It Takes' for the Charity Bazaar.

When I came home from ballet, mommy and daddy had to go over to their friend's house for dinner. I decided not to go in case I spread my 'maybe-cold' onto their children. So now I'm stuck at home all alone, with nothing to do... >:((((

Colony Day and... PIANO EXAM

This morning it was my piano exam!!! I am now sooooo happy that the exam is finally over and I have so many more things to look forward to now!! There's a paint-ball party this weekend, then it's the Charity Bazaar, then 3 days of camp, then Halloween and Katy's birthday party! Can't wait for all of them :)

Although I was really, really nervous last night before the exam, this morning, just before the exam, I wasn't nervous at all -- I was just calm.

After my piano exam, I went to school a few hours late. Then it was Colony Day! My costume for a blacksmith turned out great and my tools were cool as well! Parents walked around the classroom, asking questions like 'Why did you leave Europe to go to the New World?' or 'What are your trade relationships with your fellow colonists?' or 'Now that you have settled in the New World, what do you have to do in order to survive?'

When school was over, I came home for tap. We learnt a new dance to the song 'Steppin' Out With My Baby' by Fred Astaire. We did the dance with canes and hats.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

At school today, we mainly just worked on tomorrow's Colony Day... we barely had time for anything else!

After school, I had violin class and we worked on the song 'Hallelujah'.

When I came back home from violin, of course, I practiced piano for my exam which is now tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

For Colony Day tomorrow, I made some tools that blacksmiths used, like hammers or pitchforks.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

When I finished all of my homework after school, Niki called and we played together. We walked around in the garden and talked. When Niki had to go for a tennis lesson, I went back home to practice my instruments.

Oh nooooo!! Just two more days until my piano exam!!! I just finished practicing piano for the exam, and I really hope I'll pass! Though I don't think I will pass the aural (singing) test and the sight-reading (playing a piece that you've never learnt on the spot) test...

Before the long practice of piano, I practiced some violin songs for this winter's strings concert.

The things I will be wearing for Colony Day will be:
~A long, black skirt that reaches just a bit underneath my knees. So since back then women usually had all parts of their body covered, I will also be wearing tights underneath the skirt.
~A white, long-sleeved shirt with a collar
~Dirty white flats
~Hair tied in a high bun
~A black apron (still trying to find one)

I hope I find the black apron by Thursday!!

Monday, October 5, 2009

Sorry I haven't been writing recently... I've been coming home quite late these past couple nights. So here's what I did on Saturday and Sunday night.

Saturday night was really fun. My friend Grayce had come over and we went swimming together. Then she stayed over to have dinner with mommy, daddy, Frances, Katy, Rachel and I for Mid-Autumn Festival. There were many fun activities for us to do. There was someone making little animals out of dough, and Grayce and I got little cute pandas. There was also someone making different bracelets, so Grayce and I got the same bracelet for a friendship bracelet.

Yesterday, mommy and daddy took me out to Pacific Place to watch the movie 'Fame'. It was all about singing, dancing, acting and instruments. It was a really fun movie to watch. After the movie, we went over to someone's house for dinner. We stayed there really late, so I had quite a lot of trouble waking up early for school this morning.

I've found some old clothes that I will be wearing for Colony Day this Thursday for Cultural Encounters. Though I am still trying to find a black apron... it will probably be quite difficult to get a black apron now...

Ahhhhh!! My piano exam is in just 3 days!!! I'm soooo nervous, but I'll be really happy when the exam is over because then I won't have anything to worry about!!

Oh right! I also forgot to mention that I started the 4th book in the Twilight saga called 'Breaking Dawn'. I finished 'Eclipse' and 'Breaking Dawn' is really good so far! :D

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Last night, Rachel came over for a sleep over. We went to ballet together and went out to dinner together. Daddy just came back home from Beijing last night, so mommy, daddy, Rachel and I went out to the chinese restaurant Min Yueng together. Everything was going very well until I ate something... with peanuts in them. I'm allergic to peanuts. At first I didn't feel bad at all, but soon my stomach starting aching sooo badly. We quickly went home and I just lay in bed for a few minutes. When my stomach was just a bit better, Rachel and I watched the movie, 'Another Cinderella Story'. Soon, my stomach wasn't even hurting at all!! Usually when I eat peanuts, my tongue and lips swell up and my stomach starts to hurt really badly for 2 hours. And then I vomit. But last night I slept through the whole night without feeling the least bit sick!! That's very fortunate, because if I did have my usual peanut allergy reaction, Rachel would have had to go home and the sleep over would have been cancelled.

This morning, we both had tennis. First it was Rachel's lesson. I watched her, and when it was my lesson, she watched me. She just left to go back home :(

Tonight, mommy, daddy, Frances, Katy, Rachel, two brothers, Cheng Wok and Christopher, other old friends and I will all be eating at the pool side for another barbecue because today is Mid Autumn Festival. I'm gonna go buy some glow sticks to play with for tonight... can't wait!! :D

Birthday Party

It was Michelle's birthday party today, and Rachel was there too. We went to the Aberdeen Marina Club (again, for me), and we ate a buffet at a restaurant called The Deck. The Deck had really great food, especially the chocolate fountain!! After a long, yummy lunch, we went to go swimming.

The swimming pool in AMC is really fun; there are 2 water slides and everyone kept going on both of them over and over again. It was really fun swimming there. After about 5 hours of awesome swimming, we took showers in the changing rooms, and headed to the Foam Factory.

The Foam Factory has loads and loads of foam balls, and you can loads these guns with the foam balls and shoot other people. Although we are all quite a bit old for the Foam Factory now, it was still quite enjoyable.
