Charity Bazaar

It was the Charity Bazaar today!! I woke up really early this morning to start getting ready. Later, Rachel came over and mommy helped us do our hair. When she was done, we went over to Rachel's house where her mom helped put on make-up for us. We were supposed to be at the dance studio to rehearse our dances by 10:00, but when I left home, I had forgotten my dance shoes. When I went back up to get them, as I was about to go into the studio, I realized I had forgotten my hat for part of my disco costume!! Although Ms. Claire told us to be there at 10:00 sharp, I ended up being about 10 minutes late. I kept worrying that I would miss the rehearsal for my dance, but turns out that I was pretty early... we hadn't started dancing until around 10:20!

Finally, the time to perform came. It was so hot inside my costume because since I have to change into three costumes, I was wearing many, many layers of my costumes to help make it easier for me to change faster. So after the first few seconds of my first dance, I was immediately exhausted. I was very happy when I got to change back into normal, comfortable clothes, with just one layer.

After performing, Rachel and I got hamburgers. The hamburgers at the Charity Bazaar are soooo good!! I love them :)
And of course, after eating my delicious hamburger, I had to have something sweet. So I got cotton candy... and the cotton candy is even better than the hamburgers!! They make it humongous and very, very sugary. I loved it as well...

When we finished eating, we walked around, looking at the stalls. Rachel bought a few things, but nothing there interested me, so I didn't buy anything. Well, I did buy a really small popsicle keychain...

Rachel and I soon got very bored of the Charity Bazaar, so Rachel came over to my house and we watched the movie 'Mean Girls'. We didn't get to finish the movie because Rachel soon had to go back home :(

When Rachel left, mommy took me to Pacific Place to watch the new movie, 'Garfield'. It was really good and funny. I enjoyed watching it in 3D, though the movie was only about 1 hour.

After the short movie, I had to go get some t-shirts in Wanchai for camp tomorrow (YAY!) because all my clothes that I currently have are too precious to wear to camp and get dirty :D
I bought 4 really cheap shirts... they're actually really cool.

When we finished getting the shirts, we went to eat at a Thai restaurant called 'The Chili Club'. I wasn't very hungry, so I didn't eat much... but now I'm starting to get more hungry............

YYAAAYYYYY!!!!!! CAMP IS TOMORROW!! I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep tonight because I definitely can't stand or sit still for just one second at the moment... I'm sooooo excited!! Can't wait to write all about it later! But unfortunately there won't be any computers at camp, so I won't be able to write any posts on Monday or Tuesday, but I will be back on Wednesday to write aaaalllll about fun, exciting, wonderful camp *^_^*!

It just had to be blazing hot outside on the day of my tennis lesson when it could have been nice, cool and slightly breezy. But surprisingly, although the sun was really, really hot for me (and I was playing on the non-shaded side of the court), I didn't even complain a bit about being hot and uncomfortable; and I didn't even feel extremely exhausted.... well, that's good isn't it?

After my not-so-tiring tennis lesson, I hurried to take a shower and rushed to my violin lesson in Midlevels. Before violin, mommy and I ate lunch at a noodle shop, where we stayed at for too long because we ended up being quite late for my lesson. My violin lesson seemed to pass by real quickly, so before I knew it, I was walking out my violin tutor's studio.

Mommy and I walked all the way to Wanchai because I needed to get new shoes and we knew a shoe store in Wanchai. But when we got to the store, there wasn't a very big selection of shoes, and all shoes were very expensive, so unfortunately I didn't get any new shoes today :(
But I did get a few new t-shirts at some clothing store that sells cheap clothes!

After looking around in Wanchai, mommy took me to a mall called Sogo. We looked around in Sogo and I really wanted to get some things in the Roxy store, but everything was at the least HK$200... even for a plain t-shirt!! So I didn't buy anything.

When I got back home, I called Niki to see if she was free to play. I went over to her house and we practiced our dance for the Charity Bazaar with Annabelle. When Annabelle had to go back home, I stayed and watched half of the movie called 'Picture This' starring Ashley Tisdale with Niki. Then I had to go home to have dinner.

Yayyyyy!!! Tomorrow is the Charity Bazaar! I'm really excited but I'm not exactly looking forward to the changing costumes part because there won't be any bathroom stalls for me to change in!! And I have three dances to do, which means three completely different costumes to wear. So every year, mommy holds up a big towel while I change... it's quite embarrassing... you do not know how many people are watching! But I'm still really excited for the Charity Bazaar :D

Jockey Club

For lunch yesterday afternoon, mommy and I were invited to eat lunch with mommy's friends at the Hong Kong Jockey Club (a club just like the AMC). Mommy's friends had sons, both called Nicholas. After having a wonderful, filling buffet, Nicholas, Nicholas and I went to play in the playground. At first it was really boring because we all didn't talk to each other and we all didn't have anything to do. But then one of them suggested playing tag together. It was really fun. When we were all tired, we went back in to get some ice-cream. But unfortunately, there was no ice-cream left!! So instead, we had humongous crepes with lots of syrup and sprinkles. Of course, I couldn't finish even half of it, but  it was still really good.
After finishing our pancakes, we went to a game room with the Wii. We played the game 'Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games'. But we barely got to play because we soon had to go back home.

When I got back home, Sophia called once again, and we played just like yesterday. She had only stayed at my house for about 15 minutes when I had to go to ballet class, so Sophia came with me to watch.

At ballet, we practiced our dance for the Charity Bazaar. I really can't wait!!

Ughhh... My throat hurts... and I have a blocked nose :( I hope I'm not catching a cold here!!

After school, I had clarinet and violin class. My old violin teacher from 3rd grade came to teach us today... she's really nice!!

After violin, I went to ballet class. We worked on our dance to the song 'Whatever It Takes' for the Charity Bazaar.

When I came home from ballet, mommy and daddy had to go over to their friend's house for dinner. I decided not to go in case I spread my 'maybe-cold' onto their children. So now I'm stuck at home all alone, with nothing to do... >:((((

Chinese Homework

At school today, since I am a peer helper at school, I had to give a tour of my school to parents!! It was my first tour, and it was really fun. Hopefully their children will come to my school! I hope I did a good job :P

After school, I had clarinet class, and today at clarinet we learnt many more songs. Mr. Lovett, my band teacher, told us that there will be auditions to do duets, trios, and maybe solos for the upcoming concert this December. Alexandra, Sydney and I want to audition to do a trio, and I might audition for a solo as well!!

After clarinet, it was really hard to get a taxi; we spent about 20 minutes walking around, trying to find a taxi that wasn't yet taken.

When I finally got back home, I had to rush to disco class and I ended up being a bit late. At disco, we practiced our dance that I will be performing for the Charity Bazaar. We are doing a dance to the song called 'Low' by Flo Rida.

After disco, I spent the rest of my whole night (about 3 hours), finishing my chinese homework which is due tomorrow. I had gotten it about 1 1/2 weeks ago, but I didn't exactly do any of it last week, so I ended up squeezing all of it into one night... next time I'll do one page every day. In the chinese homework I had to do today, I had to do 2 long articles, along with other stuff.

Typhoon

Yikes!! It's a Typhoon No. 8 outside right now!! I'm hoping that tomorrow I won't have any school because the Typhoon signal will be too high.

Since Monica is leaving to go to Princeton College tomorrow, mommy, daddy, Monica and I had dinner together at a restaurant. We came home quite late, but just in case that there will be school tomorrow, I finished all my homework anyways.

After school today, I had clarinet practice. We learned 2 new notes. The Typhoon was already quite high and it was really windy. There were barely any cabs outside so it took ages to find one.

When I finally got home, I was already quite late for disco class. I quickly rushed to disco. Good news at disco!! I don't have to do the Hoedown Throwdown anymore! Ms. Tiffany decided to do a dance to the song called 'Low' by Flo Rida. It's a really cool dance and I love it!! I can't wait for the Charity Bazaar when I get to perform the Low dance.

It seems so scary outside, like soon the trees will be pulled out of their roots and will be flying everywhere. I can hear screams outside my bedroom just like little kids screaming in the playground. I can hear the loud wind and I can hear the big drops of rain pattering on my windows. I really hope there won't be school tomorrow!!

Wait... how will I be able to sleep tonight?!?!

Disco Time!

Yay! I finally had my first disco dance lesson today! I have been waiting to start taking dance lessons for ages, and the day I have been waiting for has finally come! I can't wait to take even more lessons. Today at disco, we didn't have Ms. Claire teach us, sadly. Instead, we had somebody else called Ms. Tiffany. She is really nice as well! I hope Ms. Claire will teach sometime though... she was the best dance teacher I've ever had! Ms. Tiffany choreographed a dance for the Charity Bazaar that will happen sometime in October... we only have about a month left to prepare a dance for the bazaar!! Our new dance for the Charity Bazaar is called 'The Boy Does Nothing' by Alesha Dixon, a popular U.K. singer.

Before disco, I had another clarinet group lesson. We learnt new notes on the clarinet, so now the songs we are playing are starting to get more interesting and good since we aren't just playing songs with 3 or 4 notes.

At school today, 4 people in my class was sick!! Sydney, Seon Ha, Grant and Isabelle. And during the middle of the school day, another girl in my class called Melody had to go home because she had a fever, too! I hope everyone gets better soon :D

And a couple hours ago, someone called mommy telling her that school would be cancelled for a week because of H1N1 (swine flu)!!
I was half-expecting that already -- over about 100 people in Primary School got H1N1!
So now I'm making sure I wash my hands very often... making sure to be very hygienic. Hopefully school will start again in one week. Even just a week without school can be quite boring...
