Team Fear Training

It was soooo much fun after school today!! Today it was the Team Fear training. We didn't do much besides running and swimming, but it was really fun. We ran from the school all the way to the beach, then we jumped into the ocean and had to swim about 5 laps all around the sea. It was really tiring but we got to play around at the beach for a bit afterwards.

But when we got back from the training, it was really horrible when we had to change. I was covered with sand and salt water, and I was soaking wet. And I only had 10 minutes to change in order to catch the after school bus! I was really uncomfortable the whole bus ride, but I took a nice, clean shower when I got back home.

Yesterday, mommy had bought me bike gloves, a helmet, and a camel-bak. I had to bring all that stuff to school today, along with my swimming stuff because at P.E. we had swimming again. I also needed to bring a change of clothes including sneakers because we had to swim in the ocean with our sneakers and helmets on!! Yep, it was pretty hard to swim with all those heavy things dragging me down.

I originally planned to be in a team of 3 with Alexandra and Grayce. But unfortunately, since Alex and Grayce are 11 years old and I am only 10, they can't do the under 11 age group; they must do the under 12 age group, and the under 12 group only allows teams of 2. So Alex and Grayce will be doing the under 12 race together, but I have to look for another person to team up with... so, I asked Niki if she could do the race with me... and luckily her mom allowed her to do the race!! So now I have a new team... too bad I couldn't do the race with Alex and Grayce... they have to be 11 huh?!

Chinese Homework

At school today, since I am a peer helper at school, I had to give a tour of my school to parents!! It was my first tour, and it was really fun. Hopefully their children will come to my school! I hope I did a good job :P

After school, I had clarinet class, and today at clarinet we learnt many more songs. Mr. Lovett, my band teacher, told us that there will be auditions to do duets, trios, and maybe solos for the upcoming concert this December. Alexandra, Sydney and I want to audition to do a trio, and I might audition for a solo as well!!

After clarinet, it was really hard to get a taxi; we spent about 20 minutes walking around, trying to find a taxi that wasn't yet taken.

When I finally got back home, I had to rush to disco class and I ended up being a bit late. At disco, we practiced our dance that I will be performing for the Charity Bazaar. We are doing a dance to the song called 'Low' by Flo Rida.

After disco, I spent the rest of my whole night (about 3 hours), finishing my chinese homework which is due tomorrow. I had gotten it about 1 1/2 weeks ago, but I didn't exactly do any of it last week, so I ended up squeezing all of it into one night... next time I'll do one page every day. In the chinese homework I had to do today, I had to do 2 long articles, along with other stuff.

Clarinet Practice

Today was the first clarinet practice. My friends Sophia, Alexandra and Sydney were all in my class as well! We learnt 3 songs, but to me, they are quite easy!! :P
Clarinet is much easier than I thought it would be, except that sometimes my mouth gets a bit tired and then it gets hard to blow to make noise. To me, piano is the easiest to make noise, because all you have to do is press a key! Violin is a bit harder because you have to pull and push the bow back and forth to make a sound. So clarinet is the hardest to make a sound, because you have to blow really hard into the clarinet to make a sound. But overall, clarinet isn't too difficult.

I really wanted to take my new iPod Touch to school today because I wanted to show it to my friends at school. But unfortunately, I couldn't take it because it could get lost or it could break. Now that I have one of the most coolest electronic in the world, I'm crazy about it! During every meal, I always take it with me and play with it while I eat, and always while I'm doing something, I try my best to play with my iPod at the same time!! It's just so cool, I can barely stay away from it!

Well, luckily my jet lag is gone now! But now that it's gone, waking up early is gone as well!! So now, instead of waking up at 4:00 A.M. before school starts and having loads of time to prepare, I wake up at 7:00 A.M. and I only have 10 minutes to prepare for everything! But at least I don't start getting tired at around 5:00 P.M., because I really don't like feeling tired at such early times!!

So tonight, I'm gonna go to bed really early so that I won't get up at 7:00 A.M.!! Hopefully I'll get up earlier! I miss those early mornings!!!

First Day of School

Before school started...
I'm so nervous!! Did I do my homework correctly? Was I supposed to color and decorate my homework? What if my teacher doesn't think my homework is neat enough? I don't want to get into trouble on the first day of school!! Is my teacher nice? Will I enjoy my 5th grade year? Who will be in my new class?? Is there anybody I know who is in my class??? Oh, I'm sooooo nervous!! I don't wanna go to school now!!!!

After school...
The first day school today was awesome!!!!!! My 5th grade teacher is soooo, extremely nice! And one of my best friends Alex (Alexandra) is in my class!! So are my friends Seon Ha, Sydney and Isabelle. There are also a lot of new kids in our class and I made friends with all of them.

I was worrying last night about my homework because I had colored and decorated it but I wasn't sure if my teacher would approve of it. But turns out, when I got to school, almost everybody decorated their homework!!

At school today, we worked on a Time Capsule. We filled out a form asking us questions like, What is your favorite color? What is your favorite food? Etc... And then we decorated envelopes and put the forms in the envelopes. Tomorrow we are going to hide the envelopes and leave it there until the last day of school so we can see what we wrote in a year's time!!

My teacher also started a new read aloud book called, The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark. It's really good so far. It's about a few boys who are teenagers, and they get jobs at Disneyland in California. But they don't have normal jobs... they are virtual tour guides! And their virtual self's find themselves at Disneyland after dark.

I can't wait for tomorrow for another day of school and I'm really looking forward to sharing my 5th grade class for a whole year!!!!
