Paint-ball Party

The whole afternoon today was a paint-ball birthday party for a boy called Patrick. Grayce went there as well! This was the first time for me to do paint-ball, so before it started, I was really excited but also really scared. I kept wondering about whether or not the paint-ball would hurt if it went on me. We had these big, baggy, long-sleeved shirts and big, baggy, long sweat pants. I got really hot inside them because they were so thick! And the paint-ball battlefield was indoors, and there was no air conditioning inside there.

When I went inside to the battlefield, there was big, hard stands to hid behind. When we started the game, everyone was all quiet. It felt really eerie. Nobody wanted to get out of their hiding spots, just incase they might get shot. So nobody ever moved. I soon got really bored so I just charged out from behind a cardboard Christmas tree and started yelling and shooting. Of course, I got shot so I was out. The paint-ball hit me on the shoulder, and it hurt for a few seconds, but then the pain disappeared. So getting hit by a paint-ball isn't too bad...
When it was the 8th game, the last game, my team had to capture a flag that the other team was guarding. Grayce and I kept creeping up towards the flag when almost everybody go shot and was out of the game. If we had just moved one more meter, we would have gotten the flag. That's how close we were. We started running towards the flag, thinking that everyone else was out. But we didn't know that there was still two more people hiding ride next to the flag. So I ended up getting shot on the nose (quite painful) and on the knee (it left a big, red mark). But it was still really fun! I hope I can do paint-ball again :)

This morning when I woke up, I was feeling horrible. I was coughing and I had shortness' of breath. I had an asthma attack. But luckily I felt much better before the party, and right now I'm all normal again!!

Colony Day and... PIANO EXAM

This morning it was my piano exam!!! I am now sooooo happy that the exam is finally over and I have so many more things to look forward to now!! There's a paint-ball party this weekend, then it's the Charity Bazaar, then 3 days of camp, then Halloween and Katy's birthday party! Can't wait for all of them :)

Although I was really, really nervous last night before the exam, this morning, just before the exam, I wasn't nervous at all -- I was just calm.

After my piano exam, I went to school a few hours late. Then it was Colony Day! My costume for a blacksmith turned out great and my tools were cool as well! Parents walked around the classroom, asking questions like 'Why did you leave Europe to go to the New World?' or 'What are your trade relationships with your fellow colonists?' or 'Now that you have settled in the New World, what do you have to do in order to survive?'

When school was over, I came home for tap. We learnt a new dance to the song 'Steppin' Out With My Baby' by Fred Astaire. We did the dance with canes and hats.
