3 busy days

Ahhhhh! I'm so sorry I didn't write in here for the past three days!!!! I was really busy; Saturday night I had a sleep over with Rachel, Sunday night I had another sleep over with Frances and Katy, and last night I went out for dinner and came home at 1:00 A.M., so I was too tired to write. But I'll write about Saturday, Sunday and Monday right now.

Saturday

On Friday night, I wanted to invite Rachel over for dinner, but it was really last minute, so mommy hadn't prepared anything for dinner. Instead, she said Rachel could come over on Saturday night for dinner and a sleep over.
Before the sleep over with Rachel, I had a violin lesson. I only managed to memorize 2 pages of the concerto, so now I have to memorize 3 more pages.
After violin class, mommy took me to eat noodles again at the same restaurant as last week. Since this noodle restaurant is really close to the shop 'H&M', mommy said I could go there to buy some clothes for the wintertime. At H&M, I bought:
~A pink sweatshirt with black zebra stripes on it
~A pair of skinny jeans that are very stretchy so they are comfortable
I didn't buy much, so I'll need to go back again because almost all my winter clothes are too small for me and winter is coming soon!!

Sunday

It was the first time in a while for me to play with Frances and Katy, since we are all really busy with homework. But after lunch today, they were free to play!
Although it wasn't very sunny outside (it was cold and windy in fact), Katy wanted to go swimming, so we all went down to the pool to swim. As I guessed, the water was SO COLD! But we swam for a long time and soon I was used to the temperature.
After swimming, I had to go back home to take a shower and take Samantha out for a short walk. When I told Frances and Katy about having to walk Samantha, they said they wanted to come with me, so after our showers, we went to the park to walk Samantha.
When we came back from the walk, Frances and Katy had some very good news for me... we could have a sleep over!!! So I immediately started packing and went over to their house.
We made smoothies out of juice, yoghurt, marshmallows, raisin and bananas. When we mixed them all together in the blender, Frances and Katy really didn't like it, but I liked it a lot, so I drank it all up :D

Monday

This morning, Frances, Katy and I wanted to walk to Stanley with Samantha. Mommy said it was OK. But when we got to my house, mommy said Samantha can't come with us, because she was sick. A couple nights ago, we ordered new dog food, and the bag was open so Samantha ate almost all of it... and it is a pretty big bag!! So now she is vomiting and pooping uncontrollably so we couldn't take her on our walk.
When we got to Stanley market, it was really busy since it was a public holiday, so we had to wait in a very long line to have lunch. We ate at a restaurant called 'Wildfire' since the line was the shortest.
After eating some pizza and pasta, we had to go back home because mommy booked a tennis court for me to play with a boy called Jonathan.
When we got back home, there was still a few hours left until tennis, so Frances, Katy and I went to the pool to swim. We played hide-and=seek tag. It was really fun but I had to go home to get ready for tennis.
Jonathan is really, really, really good at tennis, so there weren't a lot of rallies between us at tennis because his shots were so hard for me to return. But after a while of playing I started improving a bit.
After tennis, Jonathan's mom invited mommy and I over to their house for dinner. Jonathan just got a hamster, so before dinner I played a lot with the hamster called Happy. After dinner, we watched a movie called 'Monster House'. It was pretty good.
When the movie was over, it was really late so Jonathan had to go to bed since he has school tomorrow. But it is now my mid-term break, so I could stay up later.
But time and time passed, and mommy was still talking with Jonathan's mom. I was so tired that I fell asleep sitting upright! When midnight came, finally I could go back home and sleep in my comfortable, warm bed :)

Camp, camp, CAMP!!!

I just got back from... CAMP! Camp was sooo much fun, and I'm really sad to have to leave :(
I left my schedule for what I did at camp back at school, but tomorrow I will bring it back home so I can copy it down and type it here!

The only things that weren't so nice were the showers. The water was either freezing cold or boiling hot. Never warm. And there would barely be any water coming out! Maybe about one or two drops every minute. There are signs all around the campsite saying 'Use less water, save the planet', but I didn't think that they would take it that seriously... also, the beds were as hard as my desk, so I could never sleep through the night comfortably. So at least now that I am back I can shower in clean showers and sleep in a nice bed.

At camp, we did really fun things like going on sampans, canoes, water bikes, and archery, rock climbing, rope courses, swimming, tennis, pool, squash, table tennis, soccer, basketball, and hiking... there are loads of other activities that we did but I forgot them... I will list all the things I did at camp when I get my schedule back.

When I got home from camp, I was really tired, so I had a nap for a few hours. I woke up right before tennis, and although I was still really tired I still had to go.

When I got back I practiced violin... I have to memorize a 5-page concerto by Saturday!! I've only memorize half a page... 4 1/2 more pages to go!!

Orientation

Today I had orientation, which isn't exactly school. In orientation, we meet our homeroom teacher and other teachers as well. My new 5th grade teacher is really nice! My classroom is very big; much bigger than my 3rd and 4th grade classrooms. In my classroom, there are rows and rows of computers. In 3rd and 4th grade, we have to share a whole computer lab with the other grades. But now, we get our own Dell computers! Too bad it isn't an Apple computer :) . There is also a thing called a SmartBoard in my new classroom. The SmartBoard is there instead of a whiteboard. A SmartBoard is kind of like a electronic whiteboard. It's very cool!

After meeting my homeroom teacher, I went to see my chinese teacher. My new chinese teacher is very nice as well! He's also quite funny.

When orientation was over, mommy, daddy and I went to the small marketplace called Stanley Market. At Stanley Market, there is almost everything there, so since I needed a new backpack for school, we went to Stanley Market to get one for me. My new backpack is dark purple and black. I needed a new backpack because all the backpacks I've had before were extremely small so I would always have to fold my homework and then it would be all crumpled up. My new backpack is very deep and wide, and it has cushioning everywhere. I tried fitting a piece of my homework inside the backpack, and I didn't need to crumple it at all!

While eating lunch in Stanley Market in a restaurant called Bay Side, I met my friend Sophia and her younger brother, Rogan. They were shopping for new shoes. Sophia and I were planning to go swimming since it was so hot, but once we got back home, it started raining and it was a thunderstorm warning!! That's too bad because if I had gone swimming, I wouldn't be so tired right now... and it's only 5:30 P.M.!! If I sleep now, I'll wake up at around 2:00 A.M. and my jet lag would just get worse! Ugh, I don't like jet lag :(
