After school, I had violin class. Mr. Y wanted tested up on a song one by one at a really fast speed, but I did it without any mistakes!

After violin class, I went to a tennis group lesson with Rachel. Rachel and I planned to have a sleep over on October 2nd... hopefully we can!!

When tennis was over, Rachel came over to my house to help me a bit to prepare for my piano exam. She told me strategies about how to memorize things, and we practiced like it was really the exam. I really hope I do well on the day of my exam!

When Rachel went back home for dinner, Sophia sent me her speech that she will be saying to her class for Student Council tomorrow. I'm now reading through it and giving Sophia some advice about what she should add into her speech and stuff. I'm thinking about running for Student Council next year...

Making Posters

I had no after school activities today, so I had plenty of time to do all my homework. I had a lot of homework to do, but when I finally finished all of it, Sophia called me. She is running for Class Representative, so I wanted to help her with her campaigning. She brought some poster paper over to my house and we started to make a poster. I came up with a motto for Sophia that goes like this, "Check the box for the Rep that rocks!". I took pictures of Sophia, printed them out, and glued them on the poster paper. We also wrote, "Vote 4 Sophia!". I hope Sophia will become Class Rep! Sophia also got to stay for dinner, which gave us more time to finish the poster; Sophia has to start campaigning tomorrow. I'm so excited for her :)

At school for P.E., we had swimming class. Everyone had to do a test where we have to swim as many laps you can for 5 minutes... no stopping. So now I'm really tired. I swam 10 laps (250 meters) in 5 minutes today.

I really want to find out what cabin I will be in for 5th grade camp!! I really hope I'll be in the same cabin as my friends. :P

YAY!!!

Hooray!! I'm a Peer Helper at school now! I've decided to take the Peer Helper job, instead of waiting for Student Council, because I can do Student Council any time (Middle School, High School... I could even try running for President of the United States!! Ha!). I'm so excited to start working as a Peer Helper! But luckily I am a quick worker, because while I am doing tours to people, the rest of the people in my class will be working, so I will have to catch up with them after the tours and stuff; but I don't think I will have any trouble with that...

I just came back from night-swimming (again), but this time, it wasn't with friends :( . Mommy asked me to swim at least 30 laps, and finally, I finished all 30 laps!! Mommy says if I can swim up to 1,500 laps (not in just one day of course!) at least, she'll get me an LG Xenon phone, which is a type of phone I've been wanting for a looong time!

Well, I'm gonna go to bed now... wow!! The second week of school is already nearly gone!! Nighty night :D

Peer Helpers vs. Student Council

I've thought about doing Student Council, and mommy and Monica think I would do well being the school President in Student Council instead of Peer Helpers. I think being the school President would be really cool as well. But I also really want to be a Peer Helper because Peer Helpers get to do tours for new students and parents.

At school today, we got to vote for our Peer Helpers, but we won't know who the Peer Helpers will be until tomorrow. After the vote, lots of people told me that they voted for me. Around 9 people voted for me! But I also really want to run for School President. But there is a higher chance that I will become a Peer Helper and there isn't that big of a chance to become School President because a lot of other students will be running for President as well. But now I'm starting to think that being President will be more fun than being a Peer Helper because the School President gets to organize lots of activities going on in the school. But again, the chance is higher that I will be a Peer Helper. So which one should I choose?!?!?!? AHHHHH, I can't decide!!!!! I NEED HELP!!!

Anyways, after school and homework, at 6:00 PM I went to play tennis with Todd. Today I had a group lesson with Rachel and Nitya and other people, instead of having a private lesson. It was really fun but really hot! So after tennis, I went night-swimming with Sophia and a couple of her friends, Seanna and Catherine. That was really fun! But I had to go home quite early for dinner :(

URgh!! I still can't decide whether to be a Peer Helper or School President. I need to decide by tomorrow morning!! If I turn out to get the most votes for Peer Helper, I can still say, 'No, I want to run for Student Council instead," but I really don't know whether I could even win School President!!! Oh, this is a hard decision!!! :(((((

Peer Helpers

At school today, we learnt about a program at our school called Peer Helpers. Only 5th graders can become Peer Helpers. A Peer Helper is someone who does tours of the school for parents new students who are entering our school. A Peer Helper can also help monitor recess for the 3rd graders. So if an argument happens during recess, a Peer Helper will help out. I really want to be a Peer Helper, so I'm trying to convince everyone to vote for me for a Peer Helper! But, I also wanted to run for Student Council and unfortunately, nobody can be both a Peer Helper and be in Student Council. So I made my choice and after all, I want to be a Peer Helper instead!

When I finished my homework, I went out night-swimming with my friend Niki. We did obstacle courses and we did competitions and talked and played games. But we didn't get to spend much time with each other at the pool because Niki had to go back home to do some unfinished homework. So I just stayed behind and swam a few laps, and now I'm really exhausted! I'll definitely sleep well tonight...
