Once again at school, we did more christmas crafts. Mommy even came in to help out! I made a red and white beaded candy cane and a green and white beaded wreath. I was going to make a mini red and green candy cane, but I had no time. After making those, I made a photo frame with Sydney. We decorated it with glitter, sequins, beads, tiles and other stuff.... it was a lot of fun :)
After school, we had violin class. On Friday, our school is gonna have a big assembly in the gym with the whole entire school for the Christmas holidays. The advanced strings will be playing a few songs at the assembly. We're gonna play the songs "Hallelujah", "Jingle Bells", "Hanukkah Song", and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". So for violin class, the whole advanced players rehearsed together.
When I got back home from violin, mommy and I immediately went to Wong Nai Chung for tennis. Today it was freezing cold outside, so I didn't get very tired so soon.

After school today, I had violin class. Our concert is over, so we didn't need to practice songs, and there won't be another concert until the end of the year, so we just practiced scales for the whole time.
When I got back home from violin, I directly went to Wong Nai Chung with mommy to try out the group tennis lesson on Wednesdays. It was quite fun! I'm probably gonna start coming to Wong Nai Chung on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays... that is, if I don't get too tired :)
Our neighbors gave us a gigantic santa clause, and it's really cool! We put it outside our door and the people who have seen it so far really like it! I really wanna get more christmas decorations... I just can't wait at all for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!

At school, it was China Day. We all wore our chinese clothes to school and played lots of fun chinese games and ate really good chinese candy :D
After school, I had clarinet class. At the end of clarinet, Mr. Lovett pulled me over and asked if I wanted to start playing the saxophone for the second semester of band. There can only be 6 saxophone players and I really want to play the saxophone, so I'm really happy I got chosen!! Playing the saxophone will be really fun and cool I bet.
After clarinet, Sydney and I went to violin class. Our concert got video taped, so instead of playing violin, we just watched our concert. It was a lot of fun... the concert sounded really good actually!
When I got back home from violin, I went to ballet. At Rachel's school fair, we got some jewelry for Ms. Claire, so at ballet, we gave the jewelry to her as an early christmas present. She really liked them!!

After school today, there was a mother-daughter tea party for all the 5th grade girls. Grayce, Sydney, Niki, Sophia and lots of other people went. We had cookies and tea and talked.... it was quite fun.
After the tea party, Sydney, Niki and I had to quickly rush to violin class straight after. We were still about 10 minutes late, but the teacher didn't get upset because he knew we were at a party.
At violin class, the teacher gave us 5 new songs for the upcoming concert. The older songs were quite hard, but these ones are extremely easy for me.... the songs that we got today were just normal Christmas Carols (Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, etc...).
When violin class was over, Sydney, her mom, mommy and I all went back home together. We organized to have a play date sometime tomorrow afternoon. It's not official yet, but I really hope we can have a play date!! We haven't had one in ages.
When I got back home, it was already time for ballet. I quickly changed and went down to the dance studio with Rachel.
At ballet, Ms. Claire had GREAT news!! I had told her yesterday about me stopping disco class because it was too easy for me. When I told her this, she immediately called the office and asked to move me up to the highest level!! They said I could, and now I've started disco again! I'm just soooo happy that now I can do harder, more challenging things :D
Currently in the highest level of disco, they are learning 4 dances at once. I have no idea how to do any of the dances, and since Katy is in this level too, I went over to to her house after dinner so she could teach me how to do the dances. Although there are 4 dances, Katy could only remember 2 and we only had time to finish about 3/4 of each of the 2 dances. The dances that I learnt today were to the songs 'You Know I'm No Good' by Amy Winehouse, and 'Better In Time' by Leona Lewis. They both aren't very fast songs, but they were still really hard for me to learn. During the weekend, Katy will try to find some more time to help me learn the dance, though she does have lots of activities and homework to do... but I really hope I can learn at least 2 dances by this Monday so I won't be so far behind!!
When I got back home, I had to practice violin because tomorrow is my violin lesson. It was really late, and I only just finished, so I should be going to bed now because tomorrow I have tennis early in the morning!! So bye for now :)

After school today, I had violin class for the first time in a while... the strings winter concert is soon coming up, so instead of working on boring scales, we practiced our songs for the concert... I can't wait!!
When violin class was over, I rode the after school bus back home. Sophia and Niki also have after school activities today, so we all rode the same bus back home.
When I got back home, I had quite a bit of homework to do, and tomorrow I have a chinese test, so I spent quite a lot of time preparing for that. So when I finally finished all my homework, it was time for tennis.
At tennis, it was really fun. Towards the end of the group lesson, everyone played matches against each other, and I won so I didn't have to pick up any balls at the end of the lesson! :)
After dinner, I was supposed to practice piano and clarinet, but I just complained that I'm really tired from a fitness test that I had today and I was really sore, so now I am getting ready to go to bed...
GO PHILLIES!

After school, I had violin class. Mr. Y wanted tested up on a song one by one at a really fast speed, but I did it without any mistakes!
After violin class, I went to a tennis group lesson with Rachel. Rachel and I planned to have a sleep over on October 2nd... hopefully we can!!
When tennis was over, Rachel came over to my house to help me a bit to prepare for my piano exam. She told me strategies about how to memorize things, and we practiced like it was really the exam. I really hope I do well on the day of my exam!
When Rachel went back home for dinner, Sophia sent me her speech that she will be saying to her class for Student Council tomorrow. I'm now reading through it and giving Sophia some advice about what she should add into her speech and stuff. I'm thinking about running for Student Council next year...

Violin Tutor
My old violin tutor Elodie was really great, but unfortunately, she had to move to Spain, so I couldn't take any more lessons with her :( . But mommy found another violin tutor for me, and I just had a lesson with him today. He's really nice! He wasn't strict at all, which I am very glad about.
After my violin class, mommy and I tried to catch a taxi into Wanchai (small town with little shops). But, there were literally no taxis at all to hail!! Lots and lots of taxis passed by, but all of them were occupied. We walked for about 45 minutes, still searching for taxis. In the end, we still didn't find a taxi. We just rode a tram to Wanchai instead.
It was really hot, so I was very glad to enter the bookstore, Cosmos, because Cosmos is very freezing cold inside! :D . But, I couldn't read any books in Cosmos because all the books were wrapped in plastic! That's the bad thing about bookstores in Hong Kong. Very little books are unwrapped so you can read them. I prefer the bookstores in America, because pretty much all the books aren't wrapped at all!
After Cosmos, I planned to go swimming, but I was just too tired. So I just stayed at home and watched a movie and finished some of my Chinese homework... I still have some homework that I need to finish tomorrow >:-(

A Busy Day
It was a really busy day for me today. After school, I had a clarinet lesson with Sydney, Alex, Sophia and other people. Right after clarinet, Sydney and I had to rush to violin lesson, since we both play the violin as well. And once violin class ended, it was already nearly 5:00 PM. Sydney's mom picked me and Sydney up, and Sophia came home with us as well!
When we all got home, we went swimming together. The pool is always very warm these days, which is great because sometimes when I go swimming, the pool is freezing cold and it's very hard for me to get used to it, so I end up doing very little swimming. But I had lots of fun with Sydney and Sophia today.
But, even though it's a Friday night, nobody was free to have dinner with me, so I just had sushi for dinner with mommy.
At school today, I found out a few interesting facts about the teachers in 5th grade. My teacher once has a 6-inch sliver through his leg!! Also, another teacher was once chased by the police when he was a teenager! There were many other facts as well about the 5th grade teachers.
I found out that on September 12th, I have to go to school for a Peer Helper training lesson. All the other Peer Helpers will have to go to school on the 12th as well!! I'm really excited :)
