At school today, I did a Peer Helper tour for 2 families. Both families were really big, with lots of children and stuff. This is the second time I've done a tour, and this one was even better than the first! It was also a lot of fun :)
After school, there was another band rehearsal. It was exactly the same as yesterday, practicing the songs over and over again. A clarinet TA called Mr. Fishman called Alex, Johena and me to practice the trio. For our trio, we picked the song 'O Come All Ye Faithful'. I really like this christmas carol, and it sounds really cool! Mr. Fishman said that he might let us pick more than one song to play, but we haven't yet decided. I hope we can though!
Mommy came to pick Sophia and me up after clarinet. We ate pretzels and talked about what songs I could do for the trio.
When I got back home, it was time to go to tennis. I went down together with Rachel.

Peer Helpers
At school today, we learnt about a program at our school called Peer Helpers. Only 5th graders can become Peer Helpers. A Peer Helper is someone who does tours of the school for parents new students who are entering our school. A Peer Helper can also help monitor recess for the 3rd graders. So if an argument happens during recess, a Peer Helper will help out. I really want to be a Peer Helper, so I'm trying to convince everyone to vote for me for a Peer Helper! But, I also wanted to run for Student Council and unfortunately, nobody can be both a Peer Helper and be in Student Council. So I made my choice and after all, I want to be a Peer Helper instead!
When I finished my homework, I went out night-swimming with my friend Niki. We did obstacle courses and we did competitions and talked and played games. But we didn't get to spend much time with each other at the pool because Niki had to go back home to do some unfinished homework. So I just stayed behind and swam a few laps, and now I'm really exhausted! I'll definitely sleep well tonight...
