Christmas Eve

Last night, I went over to Sophia's house for a Christmas Eve party! We ate a huge turkey and played lots of fun Christmas games... and drank a lot of egg nog, too! Then we watched the movie 'Meet the Robinsons'. It's not really a Christmas movie, but Sophia didn't have any other Christmas movies, so we just watched that. It's a funny movie!

This morning, I got up real early and immediately began opening presents. Here's what I got:

~For Your Entertainment album by Adam Lambert (from Rachel)
~4 Hawaiian baby shrimps (from ?)
~A pink mechanical pencil and blue pen (from mommy)
~Pink Sony Cybershot camera (from ?)
~Pink fluffy footie slippers with internal heaters (from ?)
~Soap and shampoo from the Body Shop (from mommy)
~Pearl necklace (from daddy)

This morning I had a group tennis lesson again at Wong Nai Chung. It was also really hot out, so I got really sweaty. At the same time, it was pretty windy, so it was quite hard to hit the balls properly.

After tennis, one of my friends from school called Isabelle invited me over to her house to play. So when I got back home from tennis, mommy took me down to where Isabelle lives.

Right next to Isabelle's apartment, there is a big market and plaza with lots of shops. So we went and looked around in the shops. We bought cookies and candies and slushees, and I got this thing called iFoam. Its styrofoam mixed together with colored goo. It's really fun to play with :)

I'm really excited for school tomorrow! We're starting 'Secret Santa'... I wonder who I will get! Also, at our school, we have this things called 'Operation Santa Clause'. We dress up in christmas colors all week and donate $20 every time we dress up. Tomorrow we have to wear red, then on Friday we have to wear green, and then next Friday, on the last day of school, we have to wear red and green. I already have all my red clothes prepared for tomorrow!! I can't wait!!! We will also be starting some christmas crafts, so we'll be making christmas stuff!!! Yayyyyy :D

I didn't have any activities right after school today, so when I finished my homework, Katy and I went swimming together. Yes, it was freezing cold -- 19 degrees!! We didn't swim much; just ran around and talked... it was much too cold to actually stay in the water for more than 5 minutes!

After about an hour of swimming (well, I don't think swimming really fits...), it was nearly time for my tap class. So I went to take a shower in the clubhouse and rushed off to tap.

At tap, it was just me and Frances, so we couldn't practice the dance without the other students. We had to just practice our normal exercises.

I just finished practicing piano and violin and I'm still freezing cold from the pool today! Oh dear, if I'm cold in this weather in Hong Kong, what will it be like for me in Boston during winter!! But no matter how cold it will be in Boston, I am still really looking forward to spending time in Boston during Christmas!!
